Even if the weather outside is frightful, the Lake Geneva area offers lots of fun options to make a winter date night fun. And with Valentine’s Day coming up, there are even more reason to check it out. Here are a few ideas:

Pamper Thyself

Book the “Tables for Two” couples massage at WELL Spa + Salon at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa for some blissful together time. Afterward, head over to one of Grand Geneva’s award-winning bars or restaurants for a meal or a fireside nightcap. At Avani Spa at The Abbey Resort in Fontana, book the “Relax Together” massage, or for even more private time, upgrade your visit by reserving the Sanctuary Suite and enjoy a private whirlpool, outdoor patio and flat-screen TV, with food and beverage service available.

Arctic Inspiration

At The Ridge in Lake Geneva (located on nearby Lake Como), couples can bring their own ice skates or rent them from the front desk to enjoy a few spins around the resort’s lighted rink. More competitive couples can try their hand at curling on the Ridge’s curling sheet. (All ice activities are anticipated to be open by the end of January, weather permitting.) Afterward, visit the Ice Bar, purchase an afternoon s’mores pass to toast your own marshmallows or book dinner in a BRAND NEW Snow Globe (as of 2022) on the Ridge’s patio (previous igloo style shown in the image above).

Cold-weather Cuisine

Foodie couples can head to the Lake Geneva School of Cooking, where winter classes include “Sausage Making and Super Bowl Tailgating Traditions,” “My Funny Valentine” (complete with a four-course meal and wine), and “Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate.” If you’d rather skip the cooking, opt instead for a retro cocktail and a multi-course meal at one of the Lake Geneva area’s classic supper clubs. Try Anthony’s Steakhouse, Mars Resort or The Village Supper Club in nearby Delavan.
