What’s Happening at the Walworth County Fair

Head to Wisconsin’s largest county fair this Labor Day weekend for six days of fair fun — and fair food! The Walworth County Fair is happening Sept. 1-6 in Elkhorn and has a jam-packed schedule of concerts, monster trucks, demo derby and more.

The Walworth County Fair may be one of the oldest fairs in Wisconsin (It’s celebrating 172 anniversary this year!), but it still has plenty of NEW attractions too. For example, they are debuting the Frank’s Piggly Wiggly Perfect Pickle Pucker Bowl at the fair this year.

What is the Perfect Pickle Pucker Bowl, you may ask? Well…it is a free contest open to any kid ages 9-17 years old. Any kid (with the help of any adult) can enter a jar of homemade pickles, and the best jar wins $5,000. The money is not a scholarship, it’s a check with no restrictions on what it is used for. Find more details on this contest here.

Now, let’s take a closer look at the grandstand schedule, shall we?
