Waterparks are popular vacation destinations since they’re just a car ride away, there are options no matter the weather, and kids burn off a ton of energy.
While the Wisconsin Dells is known as the “Waterpark Capital of the World,” the state is home to many other waterparks where families can explore and have fun. Here’s a look at some great options around the state.
OUTDOOR
FAIRGROUNDS FAMILY AQUATIC CENTER & WATERPARK

Located in northeast Wisconsin, Fairgrounds Family Aquatic Center and Waterpark offers a great off-the-beaten-path option for families looking to cool off this summer.
They have a variety of options making this a great location for all ages, including a zero-depth entry pool, two tube slides, two drop slides and interactive water play features.
There’s also a sand play area, a grassy area around the pool for lounging and eating, and a concession stand.
PLYMOUTH AQUATIC CENTER
203 SUHRKE RD., PLYMOUTH
Located at the City Park, the Plymouth Aquatic Center is the perfect low-key spot for a family pool day. With a large capacity pool that holds up to 700 people, swimmers won’t lack space to cool off.
The fun doesn’t stop there, as they also have tumble buckets and shallow water foam geysers, great for all ages. For the older thrill seekers there’s a 20-foot drop slide and a 200-foot spiral slide.
When you’re ready to get out of the water there is a sand play area and other park facilities.
HARBOUR VILLAGE RESORT & WATERPARK
5840 HWY. 42 N., STURGEON BAY
Originally closed to the public, Harbour Village has grown into not only a public campground, but a resort complete with waterpark, nature trails and various sport courts, such as tennis and volleyball.
Their waterpark includes a swimming lake, a splash pad for younger kids, lily pads, water slides and a pond beach where visitors can relax.
This unique take on a waterpark offers not only traditional pools, but the chance to swim in a natural lake, allowing campers to have the full outdoor experience.
With over 470 campsites, families can make a full trip out of their stay at Harbor Village and try everything that they have to offer.
WATERTOWN AQUATIC PARK

While a municipal pool might not be the first thing someone thinks of for a waterpark, Watertown offers an option that takes it to a whole new level. With options for all ages, this waterpark is sure to please.
The heated main pool, great for those summer days with a breeze, offers zero-depth entry, allowing everyone to enjoy. There are waterslides for younger kids, as well as floor fountains and a 12-foot mushroom waterfall. For those looking for more thrills, they have a 24-foot dropslide and a 216-foot waterslide.
If you want to get into the water, but are looking for a different type of activity, they have options including water basketball, 25-meter lap lanes and a one-meter diving board.
INDOOR
BLUE HARBOR RESORT & CONFERENCE CENTER
725 BLUE HARBOR DRIVE, SHEBOYGAN
Breaker Bay Waterpark inside Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center is always at the right temperature for fun. At 54,000 square feet, the waterpark is the ideal size to keep children supervised while not feeling too crowded.
The waterpark includes a double surf simulator, lazy river, two waterslides, an interactive pool area that includes basketball and a shallow pool area for little ones. The waterpark is for guests only except for Sundays when day passes can be purchased.
THE WATERS OF MINOCQUA

The Waters of Minocqua features a family-friendly waterpark that will keep children busy.
The waterpark includes multiple waterslides that end in splash pools in addition to a warm indoor pool where families can swim, splash and float.
For younger children, there’s a kids’ activity zone with shallow water and smaller slides and water activity areas with interactive features such as toys and fountains.
The park is open both to resort guests and day pass visitors.
TUNDRA LODGE
865 LOMBARDI AVE., GREEN BAY
Families can experience three stories of water-filled fun at Tundra Lodge Resort Waterpark & Conference Center, just four blocks away from historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
The Tundra Lodge Waterpark is the largest waterpark in Green Bay and features a 30,000-square-foot aquatic playground. The park’s main features include the three-story tall Moosejaw Mountain where family members can ride down the Alaskan Pipeline or go down 500 feet of the Polar Plunge water slides.
The water park also includes a lazy river where the whole family can relax. The park is open to resort guests and day passes are also available for purchase.
