Maritime Historian Brendon Baillod discusses Algoma’s Ghost Ships

Join maritime historian Brendon Baillod as he tells the tragic and harrowing stories of Algoma’s new shipwreck discoveries, which made national news. Brendon and his team located the Trinidad in 2023 and Muir in 2024 after extensive research into the vessels and the people that built, owned and sailed them. Brendon will tell the stories of the people involved in the operation of these vessels, how the ships were lost and how they were discovered 150 years later. Join Brendon after the talk for a 3D virtual tour of the wrecks using an Oculus 3D virtual reality headset to explore the 3D photogrammetry models that were created of the wreck sites.
