Watch out summer – fall in Racine County is quickly becoming the favored season! Racine County is as busy, or even busier, in September and October than any other time of the year. Here are just some of the events that you do not want to miss around the area in the coming weeks.

Join us in Racine on Sept. 6-8 when Racine County welcomes the Wright and Like Tour. If Frank Lloyd Wright architecture is your thing, then joining this tour of Racine’s famous architectural buildings is a must! The tour includes visits to the SC Johnson Administration Building and Research Tower, Fortaleza Hall, plus eight private residences. Most of these homes are not open to the public often, which is what makes this tour so special. On Friday evening, Chicago’s cultural historian emeritus Tim Samuelson will kick things off with a discussion about the Racine Heritage Museum’s current “Wright Before the Lloyd” exhibit. On Saturday, the tour runs from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., rain or shine. Complete your weekend with a stop at the Racine Zoo, Swan’s Pumpkin Farm or O&H Bakery to grab a Kringle (or two!) Do not miss this opportunity to see architectural brilliance in real life!

If you are looking for a few more options for a day trip or weekend getaway this fall, Racine County won’t let you down! Here are more upcoming events:

  • Party on the Pavement, happening Saturday, Sept. 21, is legendary for its non-stop live music, delicious food and drinks, thrilling street performances and some incredible shopping opportunities. This party takes up 12 blocks in downtown Racine from noon until 7 p.m.
  • Stop out at the Franksville Craft Beer Garden on Sept. 26-29 for Oktoberfest weekend!
  • Animal lovers: check out Bark in the Park Pet Fest on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Festival Hall. There are more dog activities, kid activities and family fun than ever before!
  • If golf is your game, come out and support Experience Burlington at its Golf Outing on Tuesday, Sept. 17 for 18 holes of fun, sun and support for Burlington businesses.
